A site-specific installation created for Situ Festival, a contemporary art event that took place in Modica, involving both national and international artists. Two weeks of artist residency for the realisation of the project, 3000 metres of woollen yarn woven into 10 iron rod profiles. An urban art project conceived for the city of Modica.

The installation invites the visitor to immerse themselves in a representation of the sea, with all its ambivalences: from a refuge of peace and welcome to a cold and hostile place. A work that speaks of the lives lost in the Mediterranean, the tragedies unfolding before our eyes, and the stories of hope that all too often are shattered against the sea.
